Mickael is 16 and lives a tranquil life in France, with his friends and family. He goes to high school and wants to live a peaceful life. One day, by accident, he falls in a river polluted by a strange liquid coming from a factory, which burns his finger tips. From now on, he discovers that the strengh in his hands was radically multiplied : he can put his hands through fire without beeing burned, hang to every solid surface, and smash walls easily ! The students of his high school name him Handman the day they learn about his powers, but without seeing his face… Handman becomes a celebrity but nobody knows it’s Mickael. But the superhero role isn’t for him : he’s disturbed by his powers, not much courageous, what he wants is to recover a normal life. But how can you stay oneself when you have a unique strengh in the world ?  His powers
His powers can be revealed : *At any moment if he wants it *When he feels he’s getting attacked *When he is mad and feels angry *When he is stressed and afraid *Unconsciously, sometimes. What he can do with his powers : *Hang on to any solid surface *Pass his hands through fire without feeling pain *Don’t feel any electric discharge when touching an electric line. *Change the state of a liquid : he can turn water to an ice block for example. *Raise the temperature of his hands or bring it down strongly *Destroy a wall or something solid by hitting it with his fists… His hands can’t bleed or have scratches. He doesn’t fear the cold, gun bullets, blade knife… His powers work all the time, at day and night, since his transformation. He can’t loose them, or give them to someone else by touching his hands.   The
Handman' Project
Handman is a superhero and a comic-strip character I created in january 2007. He’s different from classic super-heroes. He doesn’t fight against super-vilains, doesn’t want to wear a flashy costume with tights. His power appears to him more like a curse than a blessing, because what he wants is to live a normal life. Handman is one of the only serious french super-hero, the others are oftenly parodies of the super-hero universe. I’m a fan of lots of movies and super-hero comic-books. My wish is to create realistic stories based on heroes. The books of the serie will tell the adolescence of a teenager becoming a super-hero. I’m very involved in this project. Handman-bd.com was launched in March 2008, I made ten posters of my character... It is a project tabled on Copyright France since september 2008. I’m now working on the first book of his adventures, which will be released when it will be ready, in the best conditions. About Me I was born in 1990 near Paris. I do comic strips since I’m 13. After my high school diploma, I studied one year in an art school in Chambéry, France. Now I’m studying in an art school in Liège, Belgium. I hope I’ll become a professional in a few years…  Handman, the first book I’m now working on the first book of his adventures, which will be released when it will be ready, in the best conditions.
